When I wrote my first book for National Geographic, 100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime, I never imagined I’d be a resident of Marceline, Walt Disney’s hometown. Much less watch the 4th of July fireworks from my own porch on Main Street, U.S.A. Thanks for today’s post Nat Geo!

If these chairs could talk…BFFs Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks had dinner and a movie together nightly on these chairs and TV trays in Carl’s Beverly Hills home. I was overwhelmed with emotion seeing this exhibit at The National Comedy Center in Jamestown, NY (also Lucille Ball’s hometown). It’s easy to imagine the widowers cracking each other up to the point of tears (or spit takes) and pounding their trays in hysteria. The American geniuses had a unique friendship and love affair ❤️❤️
